9 months and counting

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 11:17 AM
  • Mood: Pride
  • Listening to: The sound of a baby's cry
  • Reading: Ready for the next Robert Jordan book to come out.
  • Watching: Criminal Minds
  • Playing: WoW and Aion (sorta)
  • Eating: Whatever is at hand. No time to cook, really.
  • Drinking: Coffee. More Coffee. Even More Coffee.
So, it's been about 9 months since this thing was updated. In those 9 months, I have:

Been back to Germany 2 times
Been to Georgia
Changed an ungodly amount of diapers
Come close to puking multiple times due to changing said diapers
Lost sleep
Completed another semester of college
Started another semester of college
Obtained DAZ Studio 3 and multiple morphs/textures/objects

So, it should be no surprise that I haven't updated this.

In any event, Hannah is now 9 months old, is crawling VERY fast, starting to try and walk, and has become very vocal. I get in what art I can in between diaper changes, watching the baby while Dawn gets a break, working, and going to class. I'll have some renders of things I have created in DS posted shortly, but my regular art has suffered greatly and I need some more practice before posting anything made by hand.

Update: New Arrival

Wed Jan 7, 2009, 7:49 AM
  • Mood: Pride
  • Listening to: The sound of a baby's cry
  • Reading: NaDa. You think I have time for that?
  • Watching: Nothing. The baby keeps me from watching anything
  • Playing: Not a thing. I'm too tired.
  • Eating: Whatever is at hand. No time to cook, really.
  • Drinking: Just water and coffee
At 12:18 on January 2nd, Dawn gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Hannah Rose Priebe. She was 6lbs, 9oz, and was about 19 inches long. We've been working on being new parents, and are still trying to catch up on our sleep. Which is not easy when you have to be up at regular times for feedings, then wake back up and hour later to change the diaper, and then and hour later, it's another feeding....

So... We're having....

Wed Jul 30, 2008, 12:56 PM
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: The Wheel of Time (audiobook)
  • Reading: Same as what I'm listening to.
  • Watching: I have iPod video glasses!
  • Playing: Oblivion/WoW/Galactic Empires/X#: Reunion/etc....
a girl.

At least, that's what it looks like right now. At 18 weeks, it's a little hard to tell.

I've got a whole chunk of text over on my LJ page: [link]

So read that if you want details. In any event, I'm going to have my hands full getting things ready for the baby, and getting my life adjusted around that, and I hope I'll be able to get some work done on my art, but I'm not holding my breath. At to the fact that the hard drive with almost ALL of my art software went belly up (motor failure), and I'm kinda set back some.

Anyways, here's to the future!

Kanpai!

Which reminds me of a song called Back in the USSR....

But I digress.

Ok, so I'm back home (finally). The actual trip back was about as eventful as the trip out, so go here to get the full rundown: [link]

And, to make things even more interesting, on Thursday I'm off to New Jersey for 2 more weeks. Oh, well. At least it's more money (I get paid per diem when I'm on the road).

(and I'm not homesick now, the stupid interface won't let me change it)
